Bio

Our goal is to help dedicated students achieve their dreams and goals in Tennis. This is done through consistently teaching the imperative principles of tennis: technique, footwork, strategy, mental toughness, and fitness, with a robust focus on mental and technical strengths.

I was born in the Ukraine, and have lived in the Unites States since age nine. I attended Saddlebrook Tennis Academy in my senior year of high school, where I trained among some of the great American professional players: Michael Russell, Jennifer Capriati, and Mardy Fish (also my roommate) to name a few.

My 30+ years of playing tennis while achieving high rankings (as a top 10 national USTA junior and NCAA scholarship player at the University of Arkansas, Go Hogs!) and the past 10 years of teaching tennis to many different students (of all levels including professional players) in conjunction with the knowledge acquired through the completion of my Psychology degree from the University of Arkansas (as it pertains to tennis) have given me the ability to maximize my strengths in order make your tennis goals and objectives come true.

What makes us different at Serious Tennis Behavior:

  • Emphasis on teaching our students great technique that is used by top professionals today, as well as making sure they learn how to be respectful, humble, and mentally strong competitors on the tennis court and in the game of life.
  • Having the great privilege to be around great coaches and players throughout my tennis career like: Pete Sampras, Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish, Scott Brooke (former coach of Greg Rusedski), Amer Delic, Michael Russell, Jimmy Brown (former hitting partner of Pete Sampras), Alvaro Betancur (former coach of Shuzo Matsuoka), John Isner, Craig Boynton (former coach of John Isner), Victoria Aarenka, Monica Seles, Jennifer Capriati, and others, allowed me to experience and truly comprehend what it takes to lead a driven individual to achieving their tennis goals and dreams!
